| Q. |
|
How
long have you been in business? |
| A. |
|
We
began shooting in Michigan in 1971. We relocated the
business to California in 1987. Our early work was
mostly producing posters, calendars, television commercials,
industrial films and collateral materials for the computer
industry. Our first publication in a national magazine
came in 1982. We've shot continuously since 1971. |

|
| Q. |
|
What
kind of work do you do? |
| A. |
|
We
are best known as what would be termed "commercial/glamour"
photographers. Photography is our full-time business,
it is all we do. It is NOT
a part-time avocation. Besides commercial/glamour,
we also are involved in video and music production and workshops
as well as some work with headshots, portfolios and private
individuals. |

|
| Q. |
|
Are
you available for hire? |
| A. |
|
All
professional photographers are available for hire.
We are heavily involved in production for our own projects,
but we can always make time for a commercial client or a
private individual. Our rates are competitive and
we can deliver stills or video backed by over thirty-five
years of experience. |

|
| Q. |
|
Do
you shoot portfolios or headshots? |
| A. |
|
These
are not our main business but we are more than happy to
work with young models and actors. It only takes a
few great images to make you competitive in the industry.
We'd be happy to get you started with a portfolio or
comp card that will really work for you. |

| Q. |
|
Do
you hire models? |
| A. |
|
Our
primary business is shooting models for our projects, our
clients and we also hire them for workshops. For more

|
| Q. |
|
Do
you test with models or offer TF*? |
| A. |
|
Photography
is our profession, it is how we make a living. When
we are interested in working with a model, we prefer to
pay him/her since it gives us the freedom to use the images
for our clients and our projects. We do, however,
sometimes test a model before we book him/her. We
will also sometimes grant a TF* request so long as the model
is willing to sign a full release.
If you'd like to shoot with us but can't afford
to pay for images, you are welcome to contact us, but we
can't guarantee that we'd be willing to shoot you
on a TF basis. |

|
| Q. |
|
Do
you work with models under eighteen? |
| A. |
|
Youth
is the essence of the fashion industry. Fashion models
often start their careers at thirteen or fourteen and start
to wind down by the time they are twenty-five. Commercial,
promotional and glamour models, as well as actors, of course,
work a lot longer. There seems to be a lot of paranoia
in the amateur or semi-professional community about shooting
with younger talent. As we see it, our future is our
youth. So the short answer is that we are happy to
work with models of all ages, with the proviso that everything
we shoot has to be age appropriate. We understand
the need to portray older teens in a mature manner to make
them competitive, but we feel that we can make them appear
"mature" but remain within appropriate boundaries.
